Find My Unclaimed is a private company that helps people recover unclaimed property held by state governments. We are not a government agency, not a law firm, and not affiliated with any state treasurer or controller.

The records shown here are reproduced from public state files. We believe them accurate as published, but we do not warrant that a record is yours, that the amount is current, or that a claim will succeed. A name match is not proof of ownership — only the state decides that.

Nothing on this site is legal, tax or financial advice. The fee caps and statutes we publish are compiled for information; the controlling text is always the statute itself.

If you sign a recovery agreement, that agreement governs the engagement and takes precedence over these terms. In summary: we pursue the claim, you pay ten percent of what is recovered, and nothing if nothing is recovered. You may cancel in writing at any time before the state approves payment.

Do not submit a claim for property that is not yours or that you are not legally entitled to claim. That is fraud against the state, and we report attempts.

Please do not scrape this site. The underlying data is public and we will point you at the state file if you ask, which is a better source anyway.

We are responsible for our own failure to perform the service we agreed to. We are not responsible for the state's decisions or timelines, or for outcomes that turn on documents you were unable to provide. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us.
